    You mean you have a 1080 signal with no overlays outputted from your HDMI port while recording on a 5D mk II?

    Finally found it…it does monitor in full-res but it is not a clean signal. As long as it has the ability to output in full-res I would not be surprised if a firmware update eventually allows you to drop overlays.

    Has Cinema Tools duplicated the footage? That’s the issue…I accidentally did this on the original file. Am I missing something?

    Thanks, good info. Got some from another source…source quoted a bunch more than this for the operator, but it was still quite a bit less than I had anticipated.

    Thanks for all the help. The exact same settings worked just fine on another computer, so that’s how we’re doing it right now. The question at this point is why there would be the VBR vs. CBR problem coming out of my computer.

    I haven’t had to go back and check it (and probably won’t for a while) but it’s weird. Hopefully just a gremlin that has since flown out of the deck.

    All of the sudden it started working with the same settings–that’s how it goes, right?
