    Hello,

I’m budgeting a project and would like to include a jib. Problem is, I am not sure how much to budget for the jib or for the operator. Any recommendations on a day rate to include in the budget for each of these?

    Thanks,

    Stef

HUGE variation in this by region, city, class of equipment, etc.

Last time I used one from a rental house I think I paid in the range of $200-$300 for the hardware and something similar for the operator. But that says NOTHING about the type of jib or the skill level of the op – nor does it address package deals available from an owner/operator.

So your mileage IS going to vary greatly.

Best advice it to call rental houses in your area. That’s what they do and they know all the qualified operators as well.

Thanks, good info. Got some from another source…source quoted a bunch more than this for the operator, but it was still quite a bit less than I had anticipated.
