I just meant any HVX related graphic that has been designed and optimized for use with Mac OS folders. I want to replace the generic folder icon with an HVX related one.

yup, various revision 3 shows. They seems to be very well produced compared to other podcasts I have found. I just clicked over to your presentation at the New Media Expo, I am going to try to attend this!

Since you are doing work in this area, do you know how I could get some idea of how much money potential there is for a subscriber base such as, Revision 3 episodes from sponsorships? I understand I am not going to get exact numbers, though is there a way to get a rough idea?

    Thanks.

If these credits were in the film world, does it matter what title is actually assigned to someone? Does this affect points on the backend or is that negotiated on an individual basis?

    Thanks!

    Hi David,

Thanks for your responses! I am experimenting with the lav and am going to continue looking into the Countryman recommended earlier. In the meantime, does the way that I have this lav affixed to the shirt look correct?

Should I tape the extra cable dangling underneath the shirt down? Any other general tips?

    Thanks again!

There will also be a 30-inch display in the background hung on the wall behind me that will occasionally have graphics displayed on it. My idea is to place myself in the foreground on the left side and the display will be in the background on the right side to balance out the other side.

    1. How do the horizontal lines come into play with the rule of thirds? How should the composition fit within them?

    2. How do you deal with the rule of thirds if there are two people in the camera frame? Just place one person in the left side third and one in the right?

    Thank you!

Just came across this video where it appears the person is wearing a lav and something around his ear. I can’t imagine that he is wearing both a lav, and mic similar to the Countryman you are recommending. Any idea what it is around his ear?

Based on the excellent info in this thread I have moved away from the idea of using a boom for this particular shoot, though I still have some questions about them. I am including links to pictures of equipment I have available to me.

    Boompole right side

    1. What piece is missing that will enable me to connect the boom mic to this pole?

    2. These two boom pole holders for c-stands do not seem particularly stable, unless I am using them wrong. Does anyone have any recommendations for equipment to connect to c-stands to hold booms?

    Hi Ty,

The Countryman sounds great. However, my concern is that it will draw too much attention to the mic in front of my face during my video. I could not really see it in the YouTube video, partially because of YouTube compression. Curious why you recommend this over a lav.

    Thanks!
