I doesn’t turn the transparency on at all.
I do see that it turns the transparency on in the in the project panel window but not the main composition viewer. Really odd.

It’s possible, wow! thank you again. My idea is to reveal text by animating the shape layer from left to right. When the shape is in full, the text is hiding, the revealed by the shape and then the shape is gone leaving only the text or item.

One more question, if I wanted the anchor point to be placed on top/middle would I just change the;
