    Hi!
I’m a Creative Manager in Phoenix with many ties to crew who travel often. Let me get one of my favorite camera guys in touch with you and I’ll reach out to an audio guy as well for rates! I know what they charge me, but not sure what their rate cards are for other work.

First, double check your project settings and make sure it’s SD. You might want to try importing a 1 x 1 setting if there is one. I haven’t worked with SD footage for years, so I’m not certain what the choices are. Otherwise, the footage should come straight in as a .mov and be fine.

Once you create the effect, you can drag it onto each segment needed and then render all at once. It may take a while. Other than that, I don’t know of a “batch render” option. There may be a way that I simply don’t know. I’m glad it’s helping!

Hi! Use the instructions here…and this may very well help you!
    It has worked for me!

The Timewarp motion effect (adjusted with the Motion Effect Editor) can be used to deinterlace with the following settings:
    • Type: Both Fields
    • Source: Interlaced
    • Check Adaptive Deinterlace Source
    • Output: Progressive

I have a screen shot of this if needed. Feel free to contact me at

I don’t believe so. AVID requires you to uninstall your current version and then install the new version when updating. I’ve had issues when I forgot to uninstall the older version. The newer one won’t launch. I’d love to hear from other users!

Exactly how do you deactivate? I’ve never known how. My MC 6 will not open on my MAC and I’m sure there are dangling files preventing the proper install. AVID made this so difficult. All other software just updates. I can uninstall the software…but I don’t know how to deactivate and reactivate. Any help..much appreciated.

  • No replys? I’m curious about this as well…and support regarding Maverick. Sorry nobody answered.

AVID and Boris cannot replace After Effects. You can do some fun stuff with AVID FX and Boris Effects, but they are not the same as After Effects. Get both.
