Currently I am havign problems with my MC when I upgraded to CS5.5 but before that I did some tests and it took 1/3 more time with MC.On the other hand they suggest to use MC sequence presets and I didnt.What I foudn though is that in SOME codecs its better to work with MC and switch to MPE when you are ready to render.To say it simply, in MC only the transitions are red while in MPE whole sequence is yellow and transitions yellow too.Ofcourse it depends on the material you are working with.
