I’ve never used this process before. Could you walk me through it? I’m in Word and I’ve typed out the text (including the quotation marks) for one of the text screens that will appear in my movie. What’s next?

How do I go about converting to closed quotation marks?

I’m using Vegas 10, and when I copy and paste quotation marks from Word, they show up in the Generated Media window but not in the video preview or the rendered video file. Is this something that was never fixed with version 10?

I’ll bet you just solved my problem. I did, in fact, add the film grain to the track instead of the individual events to save time. I will go back and make this change and let you know if it works.
Another quick question in the meantime: If I changed the project pixel aspect ratio to 1.000 and then cropped each clip to 4:3, is that the same as what you suggested? That is, right clicking and selecting the match output option.

Where can I change the project to 4:3? Project properties? Could you walk me through it step by step? I tried making this change before but didn’t see a setting labeled “4:3.”

What frame rate did you use to film this footage? And did the audio come from the camcorder or an external device? I shot some footage not too long ago and used an external device to record audio. My footage was 24p, and for some reason the audio did not match the actors’ lips moving.
