I’ve had my Panasonic HDX900 since 2008 and today (August 2011) the plastic filter wheel just stop working, spinning but not locking into place. I too bought my camera from Abel. The camera was not being abused or even overused. It barely sees the light of day since I bought the EX3 in 2010. I hope I can get Panasonic to fix.

Thank you for your response but something is not making sense to me… If my HDX900 shoots native 1280×1080 anamorphic why when I hook up my FS100 (A fire store unit recording quicktime clips simultaneously as the tape rolls) does it record clips at 1920×1080?

That’s what so puzzling….

Thank you for your advice… I just read about something called a Proxy Data recording board. It generates a small QuickTime file with timecode burn-in of interviews onto the SD card of the Panasonic HPX2000. But I own the HDX900. Is it still available?
