My client needs a digitized audio dub recording of interviews shot live using my HDX900. I’d like to know if its possible to record both the TC window (BNC TC OUT) and audio (through the phone jack) directly onto macintosh laptop while I record the interview both on DVCPro Tape and my FS-100. The client only needs audio and TC not video so they can pick out bites. Is this possible? And if not, is there other options?

    Thank you kindly.

    Sonja,

Normal setup for transcription copy is to have audio mixer feed the transcription recorder and if you want time code, connect TC out on camera to audio track 2.

Thank you for your advice… I just read about something called a Proxy Data recording board. It generates a small QuickTime file with timecode burn-in of interviews onto the SD card of the Panasonic HPX2000. But I own the HDX900. Is it still available?
