    If you are on a mac and have the new FCP suite, take a look at using compressor 3 to do your framerate conversions or use the nattress.com plugins – the frame rate conversions is where MB is really slow. If you don’t need that, then you might look at Red Giant’s editors product or digitalfilmtools.com has a product called film lab.

    There is an effect preset call compander (I think) that will try and minimze the issue of using 8bit and 16bit effects in a 32bit timeline. While he does not deal with this issue you might want to look at Mark Christian’s book on AE7 which has a section on 32bit and somewhere on redgiantsoftware.com are video tutorials on elin which provided a 32bit workaround in AE6.5. Though dated I think they are still worth watching. Fianlly you might want to go over to prolost.blogspot.com and search around for a whole 32bit workflow for AE7.

    You might want to look at the Max to AE tutorial by Alan Shisko: https://shisko.blogspot.com/
    While it is not c4d it gives you a great idea of how a 3d program and AE work together.

    Which Adobe tutorial are you referring to? Also as a shot in the dark, you might want to look at a plugin called Sound Keys from Trapcode.com

    If you have AE Pro then you have keylight. You might want to look at Mark Christian’s book on AE for more information about using keylight. Also, zmatte, ultimatte and dvmatte pro have demos you can try before you buy.

    Thanks for quick response – I did use the uninstaller. Where do I find the cleanup script? When you say it removes all CS3 applications does that include the release version of Adobe Design Premium CS3?

    After uninstalling After Effects CS3 (on windows) and running the new installer I get a message saying: Adobe After Effects CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with:
    * Adobe After Effets CS3

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
