Unfortunetely, the audio meters are still disabled during capture.

If I’m not mistaken, you can turn on audio meters during capture. If you go to Audio/Video settings, then capture presets, then click EDIT on the presets, in the dialog box, under Audio setting, you should see an Advanced button. Click that and in the new dialog box that pops up, you should see a tab for SPEAKER that is set to off. Turn it on and you should have realtime audio levels during capture.
