I am trying to create an sparkler (the firework) effect. I have an animated shot of a sparkler and I want the hot spot to trail like sparkler does (you know what I mean, the old writing of your name).

I try to use the echo effect, but it does not seem to work. Are there any basic requirements for using that effect? What could I be doing wrong? Do I not understand the Echo effect?
