The reason I am thinking about macbook pro is because it gets quadcore, and mobility.I know 27 inch is better but that imac is out of my budget………..

Actually, if I decide to buy a capture card and use software encoder for DVD/Blu-ray production, will I get worse quality than hardware realtime encoding?

I’ve checked Canopus, and find out FIRECODER Blu. IS the quality Okay for retailed DVD?
And what is the minimum requirement of the PC for DVD encoding?
