Rule one of the keyboard is never take your hand off the keyboard.
There are no quicker input devices, and I’m far from convinced that a trackpad might be one of them.
Fun maybe, but that’s a different story.

That sounds curious.
But the easy solution is to put your “racing car” into a group and apply the Motion Path and Snap Alignment to the group.
Then you can adjust the rotation of the “racing car” layer to taste.

Simply swap the Axis of the Snap Alignment Behavior from Horizontal to Vertical.

To which I would add, do not underexpose the green screen. Which is a far more common problem.
The VES Handbook of Visual Effects has this to say on the subject:
“A common misconception is that backing brightness should be adjusted to match the level of the foreground illumination. … To reproduce the full range of transparency, the green screen should be fully – but not over – exposed. In other words, its brightness should match the green component of a well-exposed white object like a white shirt, roughly defined a the whitest white in the foreground that still has detail.”

Ah, OK. My impression was that they were keeping the links live and hence ran into problems as a result.
I can’t see any reason not to use Render and Replace.
It’s essentially the same system that Fusion Connect uses and it works just fine in practice.

That very much echoes the way I’m working so it’s good to hear that I’m not missing a trick here.
I remember reading those stories about Deadpool and wondering why they were relying so heavily on Dynamic Link and thinking that they were opening up a world of pain.
It’s a really great feature but it does need to be used with caution, I can’t help thinking.

I’d be really interested to hear what you think the best use is for Dynamic Link.
Where is it useful and what’s the point at which it becomes counter-productive?
I’m not sure I’ve yet found the right balance and tend to avoid it for that reason.

I must be a bear of very little brain, and I’m fully prepared to admit that I am, but I would have thought that the highlight box should follow whatever slider I am adjusting.
That it does not, overwhelms the few brain cells that I am able to summon to the task.
I can only stand in awe of those of you who can not only comfortably engage with this multi-dimensional system, but also find it useful.
