The BBC made me do something like this a few years ago too. I just think they want to see with their own eyes, that you can do what you say you can do.

HI guys, thanks for taking the time to answer.
The hard drives are 2 x 1TB drives in a raid 1 config.
But you’re right, Walter. The AVC-Intra footage plays through without a problem. Its the AVCHD and the GoPro H.264 stuff that gives a problem. Is there nothing to do other than convert the footage?

Just to add, i though it could be read/write speeds on the disk, but i just copied a gopro clip onto the SSD, and its just as slow in premiere. rats….

thanks for taking the time to respond.
Im not at work at the moment, but in the preferencesplayback box there was only something likr Adobe DV, and a couple of other choices concerning the computer monitors. Nothing about the Black Magic card.
Any idea how I can get Premiere to see it?

Hi Todd.
I was wondering. Here in Germany, I use an agency that has many well known Hollywood actors german “dub” voices on their books, like the german voice of George Clooney etc. But we always just send the script to them, and get a .wav file back. I always have a picture in my head of them standing at home in a small soundbooth (wardrobe)in their dressing gowns, scratching themselves while reading the lines.
When you book someone with a nationally known voice, do they come to your studio personally? Or do you do it over the telephone/internet? I would imagine that it would start costing a client mucho dolleros when you have to fly someone in for a day for a voice-over.
Curious as to how you do your stuff there…
