Interesting you say that. I’ve just had to squeeze 2hrs 50mins on a single DVD. With a smoky stage, the quality just was not acceptable on single pass. But a BIG difference on 2 pass – enough to go with it.
    So I agree… if you’re squeezing – pass through twice 🙂

Hmmm. I did wonder, but I’ve tried copying the files to other drives and even taking some work from a different project (still DV) and it’s always the same. AVI files are fine. Only problems with MXF.

    INPORTANT!!!

I have just tried with the clip from the second half of the performance and , sure enough, this fails to play after 17:45 (exactly the same as the first).

I think you’re right. I’m using Vegas Pro and have posted on that forum too. Strange but good to know I’m not going mad (yet).

    25p only goes to 50fps.

    Many thanks,

    Simon.

Yes, I understand that but I am playing back at 25 fps on the timeline so a clip recorded at NTSC 60fps, should be playing back slower than half rate on a PAL 25 fps?
But thanks for the 24 at 60 hint. Didn’t think of trying that.

Many thanks. A good start indeed. For the EX1 but handy info for the whole range. Thank you.
