Interesting you say that. I’ve just had to squeeze 2hrs 50mins on a single DVD. With a smoky stage, the quality just was not acceptable on single pass. But a BIG difference on 2 pass – enough to go with it.
So I agree… if you’re squeezing – pass through twice 🙂
Hmmm. I did wonder, but I’ve tried copying the files to other drives and even taking some work from a different project (still DV) and it’s always the same. AVI files are fine. Only problems with MXF.
I have just tried with the clip from the second half of the performance and , sure enough, this fails to play after 17:45 (exactly the same as the first).
Yes, I understand that but I am playing back at 25 fps on the timeline so a clip recorded at NTSC 60fps, should be playing back slower than half rate on a PAL 25 fps?
But thanks for the 24 at 60 hint. Didn’t think of trying that.
