Hi, Don McVey! I recently read a blog article showing how to edit XAVC files in Sony Vegas 8.0/9.0/10 (https://www.techtopic.net/how-to-edit-xavc-files-in-sony-vegas/). I’ve tried the method myself and found it easy yet effective. Moreover, by using the same method, we also can make the XAVC files be editable in Premiere CS6, FCP 7/6, Avid, etc. If you didn’t found the way to edit your XAVC footage in Premiere CS6, I recommend you read this article!
