thanks for responses
well first
something evenly graded such as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olFj-xAdQLE
do i apply effects per event or per track because each take is colored differently and im messing around with color match with varying degrees of success, actually im not even sure i know what im trying to do [to that i would appreciate if someone suggested a target i should be working towards and how to achieve it…i can then modify the instruction set to meet what i like but i guess i need a quick more concise understanding of color grading …i have been going through a ton of tutorials and they all never really enlighten me how to determine what color is going to be what colour before i even move any dial… or maybe im being thick lol)
then for certain shots
i would like the light and glint for example that appears in the shots of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAFWA7qxC0E at around 1:42
is anyone able to say for example what the best way of distinguishing between a narrative story in the video and the performances that enhance and aid the enjoyment of the music (i was going to make one series of black and whites where the takes are following the story and leave the more swag performance shots in a type of color
sorry if i sound all over the place…i somehow am all over the place
i am downloading new blue free trials right now, i dont know if thety will leave a watermark but i hope the 14 day period is complete unlimited usage 🙂
is there an easier way of making the two different shot footage match as from john rofranos tutorial i dont have boris CC and color match in vegas keeps turning unpredictable results
…how do the histograms i see in other tutorials appear and what is the best way of understanding how the graphs report the state of color in my work, should i apply it to a master bus (where is it ?) or to each track
i am more comfortable with daw such as logic and cubase on mac but video is not my foray so i am sorry if i sound helpless
oh and merry xmas everyone
maybe to summarise…i would appreciate it if someone looked at the video in question and said right son, i think your next step is to grade and from what you have you need x… y… z… or i dont know what are the post production requirements for a music video, some folks i have shown the footage reckon i should pat myself in the back for a job well done, i know this not to be true but they arent concerned with the subtle detail involved and yet i am just without knowledge
