Hey Chris,

I’m actually a Windows user, so I won’t be able to see if it works for any of the Mac OS’s or not. I will keep everyone posted on my findings though. 😉

Actually you can – just install the P2 driver for the camera you’re using and put it (the camera) in PC mode. The device in question should appear to your computer as an external hard drive.

Ah quite right, thanks for pointing that out… but doing some quick searches, I found a few devices that might work:

I’m going to give it a try. I found some inexpensive card readers that have Mac and Windows drivers

If it works, I’ll have a cheaper way to offload data from my P2 cards. If not, I won’t have spent a fortune to find out. 🙂

Hey Jan,

I updated the firmware for my HVX200 recently and I want to make sure I did it correctly. I formatted the SD card, then unzipped the firmware update and copied that folder to the SD card (unchanged). I followed the written documentation and the update seemed to take… should I just put the zip file on the SD card and run the update again? (I’m on a PC running XP Pro SP2)
