    Hi,
I was just wondering why you say Gigabit ethernet raid isn’t good for anything more than DV?
What kind of bandwidth do you need?
The reason I ask is that I have a NAS 1TB Raid (4×250) w/Gb ethernet for all my other stuff (music/movie streaming through the house and basic backup/file storage)–no video editing yet, but am considering my needs for space and future HD Video, Final cut server coming out and the cost of an Xserve raid w/fiberchannel vs more inexpensive solutions.
Do you think or know if Fiberchannel would be enough? What about Gigabit with 15K drives on a lower cost raid box?
I would really appreciate your comments.
    Thanks
    shaun
