It wouldn’t go into slot 1. There was a set of wires and a plug that wouldnt give way. So I put the FW card in that slot, and kept the Decklink HD in slot 2 and now everything works.

I became a leader like 5 seconds ago. When did I have a CHANCE to lose my sense of humor.

And I agree with Walter…we need more cute leaders. We all look like a bunch of pasty white guys. Especially Tony!

Well, it is pretty darn easy to tell the difference between the 60P and 24P footage. The 60P still is VERY video smooth. But I guess I was “blessed” to have day of time code so that that and the 24P stuff was separate. Not a single slate, but the eye doesn’t lie.

If they shot 24P…23.98…use the 720P24 setting. If the footage they shoot is 60P, then FCP will capture it 60P. The camera sets the flags in the footage as to what the frame rate is, and then FCP captures it at that rate. But if your project is 23.98, use the 23.98 setting.

Maybe. But I am doing a lot of green screen myself, and it keys rather well.

Recapturing via SDI isn’t really necessary…you gain nothing. But with the Kona, you can upconvert on the fly and output to D5 or other format that you might need.
