Thank you for contacting our Support team. Facilis is a shared storage provider. Our flagship product is the TerraBlock. It is not affiliated with Unity (that is an Avid product which is now end of life). We are not a Unity vendor as you mention in your mail. Unity (and now ISIS) are made by Avid.

If you have issues with relinking media from an Avid NLE, we can certainly take a look and make some recommendations. I’ve asked a member of our team to reach out to you.

As Bob explained, Unity is an End-of-life product. You have to weigh the costs of maintaining and supporting an aging system vs. moving to newer technology. There are several very good solutions in the market which will likely fit the needs of your colleague.

Among the many benefits we offer at Facilis is a Legacy Trade-in option. We recognize that people have made significant investments in storage and it’s hard to justify moving to newer technology. Facilis will give up to $5,000 USD discount toward a new 24D or 24EX TerraBlock. The system has to have been in production recently (no mothballed systems in the closet;).

Facilis offers some nice collaborative features for Adobe Premiere Pro. The TerraBlock software comes with a Project Manager utility which gives you the ability to manage who has access to project files and also prevents overwriting each other. It is not native to the application like we have with Avid Bin and Project sharing but many have found it quite useful. In addition the collaborative aspects of Terrablock, you’ll also find it is an easy to use, high performance, reliable, turn-key system at an affordable price.
