    Hi All,

Whats works best in a larger setup should we go for a 4Gb Fibre or 10Gbe NAS. This is a typical Post Production facility for GEC.

We are evaluating budget and workflow components with products like Avid ISIS 5000, Facilis, Active SAN, Small Tree, Isilion.

1.60 numbers editing systems ( 8 Smoke on Mac and rest FCP edit systems, some could be Avid’s numbers not decided as yet )

    2.10 GFX Systems Windows.

3.2 numbers ProTools HD and 2 Logic Pro.

4.Video Codec – XDCam HD or DNX HD or Apple ProRes HQ PAL Full HD frame size with 5.1 Audio.

Does 4Gbps fibre will stay longer?

    Regards,

    Prinaay Singh.

    Dear Prinay Singh,

The TerraBlock would certainly meet your requirements. Please send me your email address or contact our VP of Sales, Al Rao, at Sales@facilis.com

We would be happy to introduce you to our local reseller in New Delhi. We have a demo unit there and you can get a first hand feel for the performance and ease of use that the TerraBlock offers.

We offer 4/8Gbit Fibre and 1/10Gbit Ethernet connectivity with native application level Avid Project sharing.

    Kind regards,
    Shane Rodbourn

I’m seeing a spurt in inquiries for shared storage in India for the past few days.
    Now I know.

    Thanks, Bob.
