What I do not understand is the fact that I have the entire file structure in tact with the card, and I can’t choose the files when I “log and transfer”. I see all of it on the menu, but it is grey and I can’t select. Is this a known problem with FCP and this camera, you said you were able to import, but it was slow. I will get ClipWrap2 if that is my only solution, but I wonder if there is another problem? Would it make a difference if I connected the camera with the card in the camera? I would not think so…
I would rather not have to spend $50 for Clipwrap if I can help it… -
I do still have the card and NOTHING has been deleted, I choose log and transfer and locate the files to import and they are grayed out, not a choice. I chose every file on the card and all of them say “MP_ROOT” contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.” or the entire card says “”SD” contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.”
Any further I ideas?

Thought it was awful easy, so how can I convert it to ProRes, ClipWrap2?. I do not have the camera with me, so after it is converted then I use log and transfer, I didn’t think log and transfer would work unless I have the camera connected? Or do I convert then import?

I imported just by dragging from the SD card to the computer, then import. The import was pretty quick actually, faster than the Z1U. I have edit hours and hours with my Z1U and I am familiar with the interlacing technics, but this has a problem with interlacing on all the movement everywhere, even the slightest hand movement. Honestly I am not sure whether it was shot progressive or not? It is footage from my church and I just have the card. And I did turn on deinterlacing in compressor. The same footage would have been great with my Z1U…

Well that isn’t good…. but thanks for the reply. I do have CS5 premiere, have you or anyone else heard if it works with it?

that is right the camera footage looks fine, nothing has been done to that. I did apply blur and looked at it at 100% and I did not see where that made a difference. When I apply slomo to it it looks fine in the canvas w/o blur added at 25%. Just when it is rendered it looses its quality, and that may just be the tools.
What tools are you referring to, FCP, would that make a difference?

went back and checked and there was no motion blur used, however it looks absolutely perfect (I am shooting with a Z1U, so the quality is great) even in slow motion, no ghosting at all, color perfect, everything great. then the final copy after render and handbrake it looses about 30% of it’s quality and it has ghosting.
any other suggestions, and thanks again for your help!
