it has the ghosting on the jpeg-photo render also, and I do not know where to find “some level of Motion Blur is turned on in FCE” maybe that is the problem?
-
Ok thought I was done, but the slow motion clips have ghosting behind them after I ran it thru jpeg-photo, and handbrake. I have not slowed the clips down any more than 50%, any ideas? The overall quality is good but not the best besides that. It actually looked better when I used the DVPro50 option and then sent it thru HB. ????

thanks for all your help, looking forward to the dvd!

understood about DVD, I knew that already (getting older I guess)! so if I capture regular SD footage what format do I use, and maybe that will be all I need till I get the training video (just ordered it by the way)
one other question from the last post, should I use “optimize for streaming if I am using on the web” under the jpeg photo option
-
I am starting to catch on now! go to using QT conversion> options> settings> comp. type> photo jpeg? (should I use “optimize for streaming if I am using on the web” or will that work for DVD also if this is the right sequence?
also, I am assuming I should capture in AIC if for some reason my final project will be to a high quality DVD? I want the best quality and a basic capture export that I know without having to learn 15 different methods if that is possible.
please give me a link where I can find your DVD on FCE

I pressed Shift-z and it fit inside of 4 min., that really had me baffled. I restarted FCE and it worked and it now exported the right length so for now I guess that is fixed for whatever reason. I was exporting a sequence, and I am not sure what the format is posted by pic, hopefully I got it right this time.
When I tried to export as QT Handbrake would not accept the file, it said “no valid source found”. Reason I am using Handbrake, the quality was much better when I exported as DV Stream, then compressed in HB. I am looking for best quality for web. I would rather use QT but would not take it? I was told that HB would not accept it because it was a proprietary Apple Intermediate Codec? a solution for this would be great!

sorry, it is under the FCE tab under the DV Stream option. I took a snap shot of it and posted on the last post but apparently I did something wrong. It is there in FCE, just not sure if that is the best file type to use, and was really wondering why I rendered and it went 4 mins. past the end of the time line. When I played it in QT it had 5 min. of blank black video.
thanks

Is that the best file type to use (DV Stream) in FCE to export for Handbrake, I notice handbrake has the best compressor? And it has an option for DVCPRO50 under the DV Stream tab.
