You need to find out the compression requirements for your final video on Youtube upload page. Then use them to export in QT

I have same problem. I stopped using Lifetipe for text generation. Just use plagin in FCP then text will look sharp.

I would change the format in easy setings to NTSC 48, then open new sequence, then nest your 1080 sequence on the new one. Done
