Yes or create a wider composition and add a duplicate of the ps file.

If you want the film stip to keep flowing to disapear all you need to do is:
-Duplicate the layer named “Animated_Mask” in the “Transparency_Map Comp”
-Change the transfer mode of the mask of the duplicate to subtract.
-Select both mask shape keyframes and move them so the first KF is at about 3s or so.

There is also a simpler version where I just scanned a case and applied the sides as a texture map to a simple Invigorator object. More or less the same method then Filip just that using Invigorator would give you more possibilities like reflections, bump mapping…

Hi Y.D,

The project I posted was also made using windows and is compatible with Mac as all AE projects. You just need to download Stuffit Expander for free.

I don’t know why your blades come in “separate” Do you mean offset? However if you center all your artwork perfectly in Illustrator you should be able to import your ai file into Invigorator and have all your objects centered and ready to animate.
What version of Invigorator are you using?

Hi,

I think Jon is still in Japan so I answer for him this time. The blades are not important at all in this example. The little filled circle at the center is your pivot point in this case. So as long as you have it as the first object in a set, Invigorator will create a pivot point right in its center. Read my answer above to get a step by step.
Now if you attach your set to a 3D null you will see that it’s automaticaly centered.

Hi Guys,

Rick I had a look at your ai file. Your objects are not perfectly aligned so here is what you should do:
-First change your big circle to 323pt X 323 pt. It’s now 321 X 323.6
-Select your layer1 in the layer palette and choose release to layers (Top right arrow), select the new layers and drag them out of layer1.
-Import in Invigorator using the “Import by layer” function.
-In the Set-Up window select all your objects and assign them to set (0)
-Select now the center of your fan (Filled circle) and assign it to set1 to make it the pivot point.
-Select all other objects, assign them to set1 and click OK.
-In the Scene Preview window select st1 and recenter the pivot.
Now animate and everything should be smooth.

If I got you right all you need to do is to select your object and move it apart from the rest of your objects using the apropriate tool.
