    Hi

Count me in too, im doing both the DAV101 and DAV201 courses from FXPHD but im not very happy with it so far. Its a lot of repetition so far and not very much actual project stuff happening so far.

If warren would do one i would pay for it right away.
I actually enlisted myself for one of his courses in England but had to cancel it on the last minute due to work stuff…that sucked 🙁

    Hi

Yes I know about the Slots that I need to get, the thing is I could get the monitor with the slots and the control panel and even the PVM-L23 monitor for around 12K instead of the normal 18k price.

Im trying to see if I get a demo to test it but maybe that isnt possible this time. Has anyone of you tried it out?

I compared today the BVM-L23 next to the JVC DV24 and I have to say I dont think ill be taking the JVC. next to the BVM-L it looks pretty awfull and the viewing angle was the worst Ive seen. The BVM-L23 was just great, perfect colors, great viewing angle but too pricy, I think Ill go with the PVM-L23 as sony stated it’s almost the same as the BVM but isnt LED backlight but cathod and has some less stuff to it but I think the image quality still should be pretty similar.

    Right?

Thanks to all for the reply.
I though as I will be spending around 16K for the rest of the equimpent I dont have to spare on the wrong place and I dont want it to be the monitor.
What do you think of the “SONY PVM-L1700 17″ Full-HD LCD-Monitor”
here in Switzerland I could get it for around 10k maybe a bit less, would be the better fit for acurate colors?
I thought of the 17″ cose later on I want to do On-Set dailies with Da Vinci and maybe also storm for working with red.

    Thanks again

Hi Thanks for your answer, I didnt know that the JVC is only an 8Bit panel, that’s my mistake.
I also thought of the FSI 10bit monitor.
    https://www.shopfsi.com/FSI_24_Inch_HD_Broadcast_Monitor_p/lm-2460w.htm

The thing is I though of getting it with the 3G but then it costs 7K plus shipmment and VAT in Switzerland so ill be up the 8K and I dont even have the chance to test it out before buying it.
Do you think the viewing angle and everything is better than the JVC that I mentioned earlier?

Do I need 3G to start of with? Ill be grading full HD 1080p50 and Red and 2K. Thats why I thought of getting one with 3G. What do you think?
    Thanks in advance.
