I might be misunderstanding your response. I know you can switch between SD and HD in the “formats” pull down menu.

But in the Symphony Nitris, you cannot open an interlaced sequence in a progressive project. I know you can fool a 1080p29.97 into digitizing 1080i footage, but the sequence is flagged as intelaced.

What version of Avid Nitris allows an open HD 1080 project? How do you access it?

dont jump too fast

I work on a nitris and it is very particlar about certain things. Especially mixing frame rates. However, you might want to look into the Canopus Edius. I just had a demo today. I have some more questions but what other editor can you put 23.98, 29.97 and 59.94 at all frame sizes on one time line and play in real time.

(Grass Valley is their parent company)

Avid is a great multi user platform if frame rates are compatible.

Thanks for the idea. That would work for a shot or two, Ufortunately, i need to change the entire sequence of many edits
