Oops. Correction. This handy shortcut actually didn’t solve the problem. This shortcut actually justifies the “visible video” portion of the layer. But there is a greyed out portion of the layer that can also be slipped back and forth. And it’s the greyed out portion that has become completely out of whack. Weirdly, you can slide both the visible video portion and the greyed out portion, which means that one mistake (accidentally slipping and sliding either part of that layer) throws the whole project out of whack. What is the solution to prevent and/or restore this?
It’s hard to explain, but if import a 10 second video layer, and then you Ctr Shft D the layer to split it into two 5 second layers, you’ll notice that the original 10-second layer is now available to BOTH layers, except half of it is greyed out. My problem is if you accidentally manipulate this greyed out layer (or the visible portion) you have not moved all your cuts around.
