    Thanks very much. Yes I am familiar with QT ref, and am always on the lookout for faster ways to get out of the Avid. Unfortunately the BITC always slows this down.

    Great suggestions there, thanks, I suppose what I really want is for an editor working late, when there is no edit support, to be able to export to a folder and that’s that job done. 2 ways I can do this, export straight to Dropbox but make sure the export setting means the file will below their maximum video size. Or export to watch folder on Sorenson which then copies to Dropbox automatically after encode has finished.

    So getting the file ready to upload is not now the difficult part. The difficult part, as you suggest is doing the upload.

    Really Dropbox is perfect because you can send the link to the folder before anything is in it. Two pitfalls are, 1 it isn’t really designed to stream video, 2, it has the file size limit for streaming…
