Not sure what you mean but I’ll take an alternate stab at it…

Vegas tends to put fade in / outs on audio regions. For example, if you split an existing region, there will be a small fade out on the end of region 1a, and a fade in on region 1b. You may need to zoom in to a max level to see this.

So, my point is that perhaps the audio is there, but you’ll need to zoom in and make sure there isn’t a slight fade in / out at each point where one slice meets the next.

The audio editing was the exact reason I took a chance on Vegas 6 a few years ago, as I knew I’d save a few bucks for the company I worked for in not having buy a dedicated audio app. I was a self-taught PTLE user at home, and I had no idea just how happy I’d be with Vegas. I was able to teach myself video editing on Vegas in pretty short order. Now, when I use FCP here and there, I am so glad I have a more efficient secret weapon in my pocket with Vegas Pro. Vegas as a solution for Web journalists like me is just about perfect. Can’t speak for filmmakers though.

i’m still discovering all the things i CAN do in vegas. but now and again i come up with a minor preference that would be nice to have.

for one thing, it’d be great to have the option to disable the auto-docking that occurs when you drag a free-floating window (say, a text titler or audio plug-in) over certain parts of the layout. i work on a laptop with a small screen, so i prefer to keep certain windows un-docked.

Well, I’m sure pleased to have learned that the Vegas Pro 8.0c upgrade resolved the 24f problem.

Still looking forward to 9.0, but at least now I can finish my project.

So, make that no major Vegas let-downs to date.
