Incase this problem wasn’t solved or anyone else has the same problem:

Look for the ‘Set Color’ option, changed the dropdown menu to ‘Over Life’

You will now be able to control the colours procedurally over the time scale.
A good starting point is to make the initial colour the same as your emitter layer’s colour, then go on to whatever you want.

So glad someone else had this problem… I would’ve never worked out it was because of camera roll. Question is, why would additional camera movement have such a profound effect? Maybe it is to do with the 3D layer mode language within the lights, as lights do not have a ‘2D mode’ hence no 3D layer button. SureTarget cannot see the non-existent conversion process from 2D to 3D.

There’s something I’ve always wanted to try but never had an excuse to. Maybe you can try it as a potential solution. Get he two frames you want to tween. Put them in sequence, one frame after the other, pre-compose those two different frames (moving attributes in). Then turn on frame blending, set the comp to ‘pixel motion’ and time remap it for as long as you want the tween to last… 25 frames ;). Then whatever setting you apply to the text with plexus it will tween via the pixel motion as the tween is applied on the outer comp.
Btw I don’t have plexus, but I want to get it. There’s probably an easier way in there but I noticed no one had replied so maybe not. Next thing is working out how to automate that into a script!
