  • Hmmmm….I have used CC cylinder….but I didn’t think that would do the job. Now that I think of it though, I guess depending on how big the precomp is, it just might work. It would have to be significantly larger than the footage being used to only give it a slight curve…but it just might work. Thanks…I’ll try it out tonight!

It just dawned on me that you can probably create the effect you want through cookie cutter and not by attempting to use the border. Play with it and you will probably achieve the effect you are after.

I have 7.0 so I can’t answer for the 8 Pro crowd…and I’m not on my computer right now so I don’t have my Vegas open to verify. However, if my recollection is correct, using the borders means all 4 sides. I don’t think there is a way through the borders FX to just control it vertically or horizontally. I think the only control is for how much of the object you want bordered.

Steve and Allen….thanks so much for the responses. I have checked the DJ stuff and the Particle Illusion out now based on your recommendations and will probably be looking to get PI and at least something from the DJ. Thanks for the great recommendations. I’m far from a professional….like getting recommendations from those who are!

    Thanks!

And for anyone else….any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
