I got an interesting debrief from a colleague who just returned from SXSW. In one of the Adobe talks, the company spokesperson confirmed what I have been thinking in that the CC has gotten so huge, Adobe knows it needs to focus more on consistency of product performance and of UI across products. That was my exact takeaway from the Max conference in November: Adobe is trying to be too many things and sh** will fall through the cracks. Tools built at different times by different teams. 4,000+ UI symbols in circulation today. If the company can focus the product line it could be a great thing, but right now, even Adobe acknowledges a lack of focus and consistency.
