Hi Jeff,
thanks for the suggestions.

I’m able to render the video fine, but the issue is with the video that is recorded and playing in back with something other than Vegas.
What I have found out in the meantime is that the switcher that I am using, a DataVideo SE-800 is having some issues with the DV out. I was able to record the DV video straight from the camcorder (bypassing the switcher) and it seems to work fine. I will have to pursue the issue with the switcher, it may need to go in for repair.
