No, I can capture footage but instead of individual takes downloading as clips the entire tape will load as one clip. The advance capture will have to be the way to go. I just went out and shot some more footage with the internal clock in the camera set and I am able to capture indivdual clips. It worked. Thanks everyone.

Is there a tutorial on advanced capture? The clock in the camera has never been set until now but capture worked fine previous to this project. Should I just clean up what I have edited file it and just reinstall Vegas hoping for results?

The only error that occured was during editing it suddenly shut down and reopened under the recovered version that was renamed with a different title. Does this help?

The tapes were striped before recording and the TC on the tape is sequencial. I’ve broke out the camera book and I don’t see what I did different between tapes. One take of a scene was shot on the previous tape another was shot on the next. Nothing changed in the settings between tapes maybe during some downloading something was shifted any idea what? Camera Is a Panasonic DVX-100.

It is enabled. I never changed the default settings in the capture preferences, except for the pulldown rate to 24.000 film. To answer some of Boris’ Q? I’m running on XP. THe entire one hour tape is loading onto the system as one clip instead of Enableing DV scene detection which is checked. Is it a question of Disk management? “Overflow when disk space is below (MB); the default setting is 360, there is 26% of free space on my 250MB external drive. and if I lower the 360 to 200 the estimated capture time available increases. Any Ideas?
