Thats an interesting argument you make. Over the years I have seen posts where people have bashed Avid because they didn’t like the dongle, paying for support, crashing a bunch, you name it. But show me a post where someone has such a complaint, and a small clique’ of Avid-philes defend Avid carte blanche. You will see people that have solutions, similar complaints, or even those saying they have never had a lick of trouble. But I don’t think you’ll find too many that say, ‘hey, thats how Avid is, too bad, so sad, why don’t you just go buy something else you whiner’.

What is the codec??? Maybe there is a reason you can’t do what you are trying to do.
Do it in chunks. Do thirty screens and bake. Then add the next 30, and repeat the process until you have built up your FX.

System, Codec, sequence settings.One thought is to do it in chunks if its too much for your machine. If your already locked and don’t need to make changes, split it up and bake part of it.

Without you Apple would have thought they had a victory in cutting out a slew of features that pros use. Without you the news-media wouldn’t have known anything was wrong. Without you, and other users around the world would have all felt alone in our frustration.
Since we have so courageously let our voices be heard, Apple has been forced to acknowledge the apps shortcomings. In this may be the start of some real fixes and much faster than planned (if they were planned at all before we made so much noise).
Apple has had to quickly say through Pogue’s column that restored features are coming! They have had to realize that it may be important to listen to users, not just themselves in their Cupertino echo chamber. They must consider the thoughts of who they sell their software to.
Because of us Adobe and Avid have been motivated to lower prices for those who are seeking a life raft. Thousands of dollars saved. Hope restored.
And for the cheerleaders, you got what you wanted anyway – why was it so necessary to shut down the dissenters? You had the abridged app you dreamed of with easy magnetic metadata – you had won your sad victory. But realize, because of the dissenters you will get even more features – you may not want them, but you may find someday you might need them. At that moment you can stop and thank us for making your work easier.
Finally, and forgive my hyperbole but, if we only had apologists we would never make a better world, accepting the status quo is often accepting tyranny, accepting a form of slavery of thought – the dissenters bring life and freedom into discussions and the world.

Where David points out how the cherry picking of facts is done by your side to make your argument.
That is what you are doing here, despite how many time you call yourself a pragmatist.
I suppose next your going to start telling me how David is now unhinged, or something like that to try and defend your side.
And you completely misconstrued what I said in the post about questioning their motives. I’m just not sure if you’re doing it deliberately, or not.
In that thread I didn’t say they had to justify their motivations to me. I said they need to look in the mirror, and justify their motivations to themselves. I would suggest you do the same.
