FCP keep crashing when I render 99 screens.
I am working on a project where I have 99 small screen playing at the same time. Everytime I go to render FCP shuts down. Any tips on how to get around this?

Got more specifics?
System, Codec, sequence settings.One thought is to do it in chunks if its too much for your machine. If your already locked and don’t need to make changes, split it up and bake part of it.

How exactly would I do it in chunks? I Have a Mac 2.8 GHz Intel core i7. Its all 1920×1800 footage.

What is the codec??? Maybe there is a reason you can’t do what you are trying to do.
Do it in chunks. Do thirty screens and bake. Then add the next 30, and repeat the process until you have built up your FX.

OK, my guess is you are trying to edit with a non-editing codec. Is this footage from a 5D, gopro, or maybe from youtube, something like that?
In the browser right click on one of the clips with your source footage.
Select >item properties>format.
On the screen that pops up what does it say in the compressor? And the frame size?
Now do highlite your sequence in the browser, right click and select>item properties>item properties, and see what it says there for compressor and frame size.Scott Sheriff

FC can in theory manage 99 layers, but is not really designed to do this.
Neither your computer is up to this task.
Try other computer or other application.
