I don’t think this is the ideal situation. Headphones, while an ideal tool for recording field audio, are far from the best for mixing and never give a ‘real world sound’, that is the sound the audience hears. Also I think you will find wearing headphones continually extremely fatiguing, which won’t do your editing skills much good.
Ideally, (for stereo 2 channel) you should be listening to your work on purpose built audio monitors placed at head level (when seated at the edit/mixing position), equal distance from each other, and yourself, forming an equal sided triangle of around 5 feet on each side.

External. Never put your media on your system drive.

Did you do a clean install?
If not search “clean install”, or go back and look at posts from Aug 30 ’09 thru Sept 20.

I think you should have posted this in the ‘Art of the Edit’ forum.

If this is a static shot, you might be able to clip out a chunk of the frame from just below the reflection and paste it over the reflection. Feather the edge very slightly. It probably wont match perfectly, but if everyone is looking at your actor, and the shot isn’t up long you might get away with it.
    Otherwise, Re-Shoot.

Tell your client about the production triangle –

    a) Good Quality

    b) Fast turnaround

    c) Cheap price

    – then tell them they can pick any two.

If it’s good and fast, it’s not cheap.

If it’s fast and cheap, it’s not good.

Ah, yes the triangle. Glad you brought that up. I have used it many times, and it works.
    Your 1/3, 1/3, & 1/3 is more good advice.
