    One little update:

By creating a Shortcut to the Movie Studio .exe on my desktop, and then editing the Shortcut Target to also include the path to my blank template file — that Shortcut icon can then be dragged into the Taskbar, and that seems to work. (Silly that it’s so complicated!)

Thanks, trouble is I can’t seem to simply pin the blank document to the taskbar.

Also, it seems the Toolbar does show back up.

    But thanks again…

[Theo van Laar] “Yes, my activationcode was also on the invoice page. And in the e-mail.”

Just curious, what was the subject line for that email? (Curious because I didn’t get the serial in my email.)

[Theo van Laar] ” I received the activation code by e-mail.”

For me the Serial Number was on the Invoice page at the end of the order — the email I received from them didn’t have the Serial Number — rather, it had a password for use on their site.

    [Graham Bernard] “BTW, great find!”

Just curious, any other quality free add-ons that anybody might suggest?

  • Thanks again — via the download links, I have all the installers — and docs for Suite and Magic Bullet — are there also docs for NewBlue and/or Vocal Eraser?

  • Oh, thanks! I had assumed the Suite packages would come with the Suite Trial download. So I was a bit puzzled because I couldn’t seem to find any of it.

So to actually get the complete Suite, I have download the Suite and then also separately download Magic Bullet, NewBlue, and Vocal Eraser? (Nothing else, right?)

Two quick questions if you have a sec:

    1) I know some applications bundle sort of junky 3rd party software — are those extras “good” or “sort of junky”?

    2) I installed Sound Forge via the Suite installer — is there any reason I should have installed it via that dedicated Sound Forge link?

Thanks again, I didn’t realize I had to download these in addition to the Suite download — I appreciate the help.

  • [John Rofrano] “It’s really not odd if you remember that the purpose of the program is to edit and ‘deliver’ the video and there is no 60p delivery format so why would you make a template for it?”

I guess I see the purpose as creating new video files — and ‘delivery’ is just one potential outcome for the files you create, not the only outcome.

For example, you might simply want to archive the output, import it into another editor, or whatever.

    Anyhow, I think it’s odd there isn’t a 60p template — and you don’t think it’s odd — so: vive la différence! 🙂
