Thanks for the response! I have tried several previous versions with no success. I currently have version 7.7.4 installed. I switched from FCP to Vegas in 2004 and have NEVER looked back. I guess I must establish a new work flow as many of my clients are now giving me ProRes 422 files recorded on AJA KiPro or Black Magic units. I wonder if Cineform could be an option?

Upon import, I get an error message that says Vegas doesn’t recognize it as a supported format or the file may be corrupt. The files were recorded using a Panasonic HPX500 via HDSDI on a Black Magic shuttle. Could the fact that there are (4) channels of audio be an issue? Out of a dozen or so files, only a couple will import. However, the video stutters and the (4) tracks of audio have been combined into one mono track duplicated (16) times. Yikes!

Thanks guys for your replies and GOOD ideas! I feel like a dope at this point because I discovered this late last night looking through the printed manual. You can’t find it anywhere in the table of contents or even when you do a search, but IT’S RIGHT THERE under “Getting Started” – “Extras”! It really is a cool feature and adds more production value provided you have enough space. Sony could step up their game a little regarding their manuals, but other than that – I stand corrected – THANKS!

Got it figured out – thanks! BTW – This was a new feature added in DVDA 3. You can’t find it in the table of contents or if you do a search, but look in the manual under “Getting Started” and then look under “Extras”.
