Another question. Can a newer version of FCP X open FCP X 10.0.9 projects and export a more current version of xml?

DaVinci 11 only accepts xml version 1.3 or 1.4. Her version of FCP X can only generate xml version 1.2

It looks like the redesigned UI support the super high resolution monitor, improved fonts and maybe the ability to tweak the layout to suit the user desires (like any of the NLEs)

Michael, I agree that each shot needs tweaking. I just feel it would greatly speed up my work if I could a foundation easily applied to each instance of the same clip. Like a simple levels adjustment. From there I would tweak each shot.
