Also, are the specs correct that this cards requires a 4x lane slot while the standard SDI card only requires a 1x slot? Based on the picture on your site, it is a 1x connector, not a 4x… I ask because it is a LOT easier to find motherboards with extra 1x slots, but few have multiple 4x(or higher) slots.

We switched the machine from XP 32 to Win7 64 and it seems to be recording without a problem now.

O.K., thanks. Will levels stay accurate that way? We are trying to go out of an AVID via hdmi/matrox mxo2 mini into an ultrascope. If we put the hdmi>sdi converter in the chain, levels should stay accurate?

Thanks for the reply. It is 7.3.1. I sent some example clips to tech support, but have never heard back. VERY frustrating!!
