i have the same problems, however, i think it is our fault because we are not sticking to the required hardware for the Aja card, ie. the xeons, dual opterons, proper mobo, and the quadro, as well as raid requirements.

I have had nothing but crashes int he oddest times, slow alt tabbing, etc. but my specs are:

opteron 170, asus a8n sli, 1.34tb raid 0 (media drive), 400gb raid 0 (system os drive), both raids are on 7200rpm drives, ati 1900xt..

I think the best solution is to stick to aja’s recommended specs

hi, just to get the aspect ratios right, when i am exporting uncompressed from the aja HDV project , I select 720×486 wide screen with 1.2 ratio, so its 16:9… So later on, i can open a SD widescreen project and just pop this in, and it shouldlook right, correct?

Also, had a question, i want to make sure i am getting the 10 bit downconversion, so will this happen when i select the AJA 10bit 4/2/2 codec when i output thru microsoft avi?

this only occurs in aja’s hdv preset… Not only does the program monitor’s video not play , the safe zone markers are completely off, they are way too wide and big and not consistent with adobe’s safe zone markers…

I am not sure why this happening. The system is a opteron 170, 2 gigs of ram, raid 0 400gb and raid 0 1.34 tb for media drives, ati 1900 video card…
