I think it happens most of the time when I click next to an existing point and Resolve creates a new one.
Also deleting unwanted points causes the crashes.
What if we could start with moving those create and remove functions to a CTRl-click gesture ?
I spend a lot of time removing unwanted points that are created accidentally when i just try to move a point
Also I would love to NOT move the handles when I am trying to move a point.
An easy solution would be to hide the handles until one hold down SHIFT.
Then it could hide the points and display the handles only.
That would help clearing the whole thing up 🙂A slice of color…

Since when was Lustre realtime ?
One color correction, or two…thats it.
If I would try to play a node tree that runs on my home system in Resolve, it would play with like 3 fps or so on Lustre.A slice of color…

I know Mocha can squeeze this out pretty accurate, but as it looks right now, they dont have to be so accurate.
We did the last years show the exact same way and 4 people animating masks was quite ok..
The beauty of staying in Resolve is that we dont have to export and reload 2400 shots.
Also using external masks is terrible, we did that on one show and trust me , linking 150 shots with masks is far from being fun.Stig, you also had it crashing left and right ?
Thats what I want to tackle…
Lets bombard them with crashlogs based on masking.
I am very sure there is something wrong in the code, and its there since V8.A slice of color…

Please use a GTX680 if possible.
The quadros available are helplessly outdated.
The Quadro 6000 is like half as fast as a GTX580 for CUDA processing.
But nether less ,Scratch uses OpenGL for playback, I dont think Resolve can ever come close to its performance playback wise.
There is no processing, just a polygon mapped with a texture..A slice of color…

I think its time for “Scale off” !
Lets take a very crispy sample image and do animated scaling in Smoke, Scratch, FCP, Avid , Resolve, (insert your tool here) and of course the almighty Terranex.

Its mostly overdone in commercials…
And whenever we had to do it we are using Flame or Nuke.
Plugins that could analyse differences in gradients through optical flow and constant contrast change.
I think its called GLint in PS…
But I dont think this is an Colorists task, actually.A slice of color…
