Explain please…
I do not understand how three or more clips with so different file names can cause a conflict.
Resolve seems to be unable to conform them…i am just wondering why.
Its media our graphic artist made, AVID imported it and sent me an AAF.The second one is just annoying as i am having 600 clips with just one or two frames all using that iphone recording named IMG_5844.mov and none is lininking to it.
And if they do, the TC is wrong, and it links only to the first frame every time.Resolve 11.3 – Smoke 2015 EXT1 – Sapphire 8

Iiii have a dreaaam…
I click on a clip in the Timeline and Fusion 8 opens…
i can do all my comp without any restrictions of color space, depth, size or whatsoever (because resolve is feeding internal EXR data 🙂 ) and then just return to my grading.
When the comp has been rendered on my external farm the clip pops up as a new version. That would soooo own everyone.

One rule of thumb is always to use cached images and leave that pesky highest debayer option disabled.
It might very well be that it tries to restabilize upon render and something goes wrong.Resolve 11.3 – Smoke 2015 EXT1 – Sapphire 8

I would not try to tackle the lipstick, i would attempt to relight the whole shot.
The different red indicated the lighting was bad, or the DOP was bad, or whatever, but you can help it along i bet.
If you try with the basic tools just to get the whole area to look more the same you are doing it right.
Then dim down the areas you do not want to affect.Resolve 11.3 – Smoke 2015 EXT1 – Sapphire 8

The moment I use a clip more than one and Resolve writes this :A052C016_150112_R4GA_S000.mov the conform will fail here.
I am doing something wrong, i guess, but i can not figure out what it is, because, according to the manual it should re-conform the clips from the segments.
The segments are there…they have been correctly consolidated, i can relink to them manually.
But it won’t import them with Loose Names, neither will it use them in a new assemble which is not an option anyway as I changed the timeline from the original AVID AAF.Resolve 11.3.1 – Smoke 2015 EXT1 – Sapphire 8

The clips i was trying to consolidate are all from the exact same take…on one timeline.
Just 12 different time codes, no time stretching, no fancy stuff. What bugs me is that there is no automatic relink, which is silly.
I am pretty sure the xxx_S001 attempt is the right one, much more efficient as full clip extends, but if it does not relink i am stuckThe difference is just 550 gig 😉
