Finally I got Resolve lite finally up and running , I don’t know what exactly fixed it’ but here is what I did :
-Removed Resolve
-Removed all blackmagic softwares
– Verified and repaired disk permission
-Set the performance to the maximum, disabled all of the energy saving options in the preferences
– Re- installed Resolve
-That’s itNow I can go through the manual page by page and learn all about this mythical piece of software
Thanks to all of you guys

July 26, 2011 at 10:33 pm in reply to: Resolve lite and macbook 4.1 with GeForce 8600M GT?i installed Resolve light on my Mac book Pro 15″,it gave me warning that its not optimized.when i try to open a new project it loads for 3 or 4 sec then it crashes.
I work on color, and my employer is considering to get Resolve anytime next month , so i thought that fiddling with the lite version on my MBP will bring me up to speed when the have the new Resolve installed.it can be a life saving if i can use my MBP to go through the interface while reading the manual.

July 21, 2011 at 9:41 pm in reply to: Is the a way to select which audio channel to use?Thank u Craig
I think the break apart clip will work for me.I finish the editing and later click and drag over the unwanted clip and remove them at once.
I don’t think enable/ disable the channel from the inspector will ever be practical .matching back sound was never an issue using the match frame shortcut and the patch bay.there most be some kind of tracks, even in a Discreet way.I read an article that the FCPX code has traces for some kind tracks among other missing features like XML and project sharing or “guard”!I hope it’s true!
Thanks again for the tip

I have the same problem, the undo stoped working after I was using transform effect!Later on , FCPX crashed and there is nothing saved ever since the undo stoped responding!this is really annoying, since there is no way to manually save, and some time might pass until u use the undo , then u realize that nothing is saved …I hope they fix this soon
