I’m just wondering why it’s starting *now.* Like I said, I have edited dozens of hours (hundreds of clips) from this exact source without any issues in the past couple of years. It’s always looked and sounded great (I muted my example clip — the audio actually works fine).

But it’s very interesting that you were able to duplicate the glitch. That would seem to indicate that the problem is indeed in the source files themselves.

Closing and reopening Vegas hasn’t helped. I’ve done it at least twenty times in the past few days.

What does seem to help, however, is moving the offending clips to a separate video track and changing the compositing mode to “screen.” I’ll have to do some more experimentation.

    Thanks again.

Sure, here’s a small clip of one of the original files (35MB):

@Graham: Yes, I see it in preview. And in rendering, no matter the output codec.

@Wayne: You’re absolutely correct, that was a typo on my end. I meant 1728×1080. Sorry about that.

I’ve been editing files of this exact size and type for years now. The source hasn’t changed. I’ve never seen this glitch in Sony before. I’m assuming I must have changed a setting by accident since everything else is the same as it’s always been.

    Here’s a MediaInfo screenshot:

And here’s a link to a 10 second clip with a few examples of the glitch:

    Thanks for your help, guys.

I wouldn’t mind so much if it didn’t affect the final render, but it does in this case. I’ve tried filling the frame then reverting, and I’ve saved and reopened more than a dozen times. I’ve only ever had my render settings set to CPU only, so I don’t think the GPU is the problem this time.

    Man, this one is frustrating.

Watching your official tutorial, I found my problem. I wasn’t manually extending my clip by 2x (or whatever is necessary). I’d watched a tutorial on YouTube in which it appeared to be done automatically (perhaps it is in Twixtor Pro?).

Thanks for your help, Pierre. Appreciate it.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

    I’m using video event FX.

I just tried it with media FX and it seemed to work, but as it applies to the entire timeline, it’s unusable this way.

    November 11, 2015 at 11:20 am in reply to: BCC9: Extruded Text Window doesn’t load . . .

I’m having the exact same problem as the OP. Vegas Pro 13, Windows 7 64, BCC 9, and the window doesn’t open. It doesn’t open in Type On Text either. This plugin is the main reason I wanted BCC in the first place.

This is a recent installation, so I can’t compare it.

I tried deleting the folders mentioned above. Didn’t help.

    Has anyone figured this out?
