Actually, that is what I did… all my original and most of my third part transitions do remain save items such as cross page peel, split page peel etc.
Would there be some way such as a site from which I could re-install and also, how would I attend to the trashing preferences (OSX Lion)…

And by the way, here’s an AWESOME trick if you’re on FCP 7 down & you’ve accidentally erased your autosave while being stuck with a corrupted project file…
Copy the project to another drive… take out a few letters from the copied project file & delete the original.
Open up your copy & save to it’s original name & location… problem solved
